plenty of output for its size, January 25, 2012 By drumbone (nj) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Olympus Pen FL-14 Electronic Flash for Micro Four Thirds (Black) for E-P1, E-P2, E-P3, E-PL1, E-PL2, E-PL3, E-PM1 Digital Cameras (Electronics) When I got this flash I thought that it would be weak because of it's size. I was surprized when I was able to take flash pictures over 30 feet away using a telephoto lens. I use it with a PEN camera, that I also recommend.
The only downside that I have is that the flash is close enough to the lens to give red-eye. Using the redeye reduction on the camera mostly works, but after that, iphoto or photoshop takes care of the redeye.
