Appropriate price Good product, May 24, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Seagull SC-2 Flash Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Sync Socket (Electronics) This is overall, a good product. I use it for my Nikon Flashes that don't have a sync connector for my pocket wizards remote flash sync. My only complaint is that the flash isn't very secure on the product. It won't lock onto it as securely as I'd like so the flash wobbles a little. It's good if it's just on a stand but if you move it around a lot, the flash tends to slip backwards off the adapter and therefore doesn't fire. Does what it says otherwise though and shipping was SUPER fast.

I had bought 2 of these the first order. Only 1 failed out of the box. A week ago the original one that hadn't failed, with pretty minimal use, failed. At least the extra one CowBoy Studio sent was there for a backup, but I'm back to one working unit of the two I bought and three I received!
FINAL update:
After my update below I received no communications, but today a replacement SC-2 arrived from Cowboy Studios. Thank you. (It has taken several weeks to get a replacement for the defective one.) This SC-2 just tested out OK. I use these for digital cameras that need to connect to some studio flash units, so I'm not attaching a flash unit to the top. I can't speak to any issues with the. The unit fits snuggly on my Nikon cameras and does what needs to be done.

Misfired, April 10, 2012 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Seagull SC-2 Flash Hot Shoe Adapter with PC Sync Socket (Electronics) Used it to fire Nikon SB-700 using Skyport remote trigger...misfire every other attempt. I thought it was the trigger that's bad so I tested the trigger with other strobes where I did not have to use this adapter and the trigger worked everytime. So it's going back to Amazon. I am getting the Paramount cord which costs $50. You get what you pay for.
