I just love it! I bought this flash to replace my Nikon SB800 which cost me $360 and I had to pay $160 more sending it to repair at Nikon. After expending all these money, the relay circuitry of the SB-800 flash got burnt. One of its diode just burn and then was me without the most expensive flash I ever bought. I paid $120 for this flash and it is working better than the Nikon one. I recommend it to anyone looking for a great flash without being stolen.

Bought this just before Christmas and took it to my brother's house for family photos with my Nikon D5000. When pointed in-line with the lens it produced nicely exposed shots and tracked the focal length of my zoom lens (18-105mm) as well as my fixed length lenses (35 and 50mm). When used as a bounce flash it goes to manual mode and I got some overexposed shots before I figured that out. The built in diffuser and reflector are nice features (you might expect them on an expensive flash, nice to get them at this price level). I used it a few times as a remote and it never failed to fire, even when it was tucked behind some packages under the Christmas tree or held at arm's length pointing away from the camera toward the wall. So far I haven't had to replace the batteries (standard alkaline AAs) which suggests a satisfactory lifespan there.

So far, I'm very happy with this flash. I don't have anything similar to compare it to, but it has definitely met my expectations, if not exceeded them. It easily (but not too easily) swivels in any direction, it recharges quickly, it's easy to use, and after several hundred pictures, the batteries seem to be just fine. I just edited my first batch of pictures taken with the flash, and I'm very pleased with them.
